Fourth of July Fun

H&M shorts, American Eagle button up, Steve Madden sandals

I tried to be very American for the 4th of July, but I realized that while I was attempting to be festive, a typical American would be a lot fatter and lazier! But really, I did my best to come up with something cute but still with an Independence Day-feel.
And I decided to include my bicycle in the photos, because bikes are pretty "American" feeling. Plus he's blue, so a little patriotic. I love my bike! I just got this one recently, new-to-me. My dad fixes and donates a lot of bikes, but I had to have this one, so I traded my old one for it. I just got new pedals earlier in the week (so now they match), too. And even though it only has one gear, I haven't had any trouble biking around - I even rode it 15 miles to my CSA one Saturday.
But back to the 4th of July- it was a good day! I went with my best friend to see the fireworks, and we even ate some veggie dogs. The fireworks were very good this year too! I wish I'd taken some pictures, but I forgot.
How does my attempted french braid look? I'm trying to teach myself how to do it. This is my second try.
