Inside all of us is a wild thing...

Yesterday I went to see Where the Wild Things Are. It was such a good movie! I loved it - but it was sad! It actually brought me to tears at one point! I highly, highly recommend you go see it in theatres right away. It didn't let me down, and I had built up some pretty high hopes.
My favorite was Douglas, and then Carol. Who were your favorites?
I wore my Max hat. I think it is quite awesome. In fact, I'm wearing it right now as well. And there's my kitty with me in the photo. He's so cute, don't you think?

Thanks for helping / New Cause: Camfed

Sorry for the late change, but thanks for helping earn 3,025 gallons of clean water for charity:water!

The new charity is: Camfed! From the website:
"Camfed is an international organization dedicated to eradicating poverty in Africa through the education of girls and the empowerment of young women."

Please note the gadget to the right of your screen -->
Click on it every time you come to my blog to help provide education to girls and women in need! Every little bit counts! Thank you very much! :)
My goal: 180 days of schooling
That's 1 full school year where I'm from.

(If you have any suggestions for future charities to feature, please let me know in the comments! I will definitely listen to you.)

A piece of childhood

Beige scoop neck shirt, Target ~$9
Chocolate skirt with cool style that's hard to see in this photo, H&M
Shoes, from my mom's closet
The odd thing on my shirt is a photo. I'm playing a crazy game at school, the Marker game, and the immunity of the day was to have a childhood photo of yourself taped to your shirt. Here's what it looks like:

I was quite the cutie, as you can see. And I was quite blonde! A lot more than now! It's crazy.

My favorite outfit

Shirt- Walmart! $8 or so
Shorts- H&M
Polka Dot Tights- American Eagle Outfitters (!! Shocking, I know. They're SO CUTE.) $10
Black flats- Forever 21 $9

This must have been the day that the Marker Game started, because I had to wear a white t-shirt. (I was quite likely the most fashionable one to do so, might I add :p Haha) I'll explain that whole thing later.

Alice

Brandon Christopher Warren of Flickr
One of the little girls I babysit used to call me Alice. She watched Alice in Wonderland a lot, and I apparently resemble her quite a bit. (I'm blonde, she's blonde, you know.) I always wanted to be Alice for Halloween, but I never have been.

Also, have you heard of that movie "Alice?" The 1990 version. I saw it on T.V. once. It's about a woman named Alice and all of the crazy things that happen to her when her doctor/herbalist Dr. Yang gives her odd drugs. It's very interesting actually, I do recommend seeing it. I'd say it's worth a Redbox but not a Blockbuster, but I highly doubt it would be in a Redbox anyway. I'm sure it comes on TV occasionally. Otherwise, if you need something to get while you're at the movie rental place, it's a good pick. (It did win a bundle of awards/nominations... quote from good old wikipedia...)
Woody Allen received an Academy Award nomination for Best Writing, Screenplay Written Directly for the Screen, as well as a Writers Guild of America nomination. Mia Farrow received a Golden Globe nomination as Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture - Comedy/Musical and won the National Board of Review Best Actress award.

So maybe it is worth Blockbustering.
