All Played Out

(Via Street Style Aesthetic and STREETFSN)
I submitted all of my college applications today!! Hooray!! I am not quite relieved yet though, because I haven't gotten in anywhere yet. Then I will really celebrate. For now, I'll share some of my favorite streetstyle shots from the week and blast Doncamatic (which is still stuck in my head) while I finish up my huge paper for Systems - it's worth 40% of my final grade - ahh!

Reverse

Maria Nilsdotter A/W 2010 Lookbook via Studded Hearts
I always seem to post my pictures with my favorite of the set first, and second favorite last. I love the backwards necklaces, all the rings and the soft, wrinkled dress/slip. Her skin is stunning too!
I picked up a couple books from the library yesterday, and finally bought the yarn I need to complete my scarf. My last college applications are due this week, and after that hopefully I'll have time to relax and enjoy life.

Notable

(Photos by Bradford Gregory)
I've been of fan of Bradford Gregory for awhile (I mentioned him on the blog before in February) so I figured I should share a couple shots here. I'm really digging the relaxed, easygoing styles and hair - especially in the second picture. Plus those shorts are just nice.

Thanksgiving.

(images via Everything you love to hate, Karinkyohaku)
Happy Thanksgiving! Just thought I'd share these shots of sweater/scarf/winter perfection before I get to work in the kitchen. I'm making personal bread loaves from scratch and helping with the deviled eggs and mashed potatoes (and probably several other things). In the meantime, let's just put this scarf on my holiday wishlist, okay?

Afternoon.

(David Urbanke)
This afternoon is full of cider, relaxing in pajamas, a bit of cleaning and guitar playing; resting for a busy afternoon of cooking tomorrow.

Wednesday.

This Thanksgiving break, I want to: build a blanket fort and curl up with a good light read, eat delicious food, finish my college apps, sip hot cider, and stare at this dress wishing to be her all day long

Favorite (Fall) Things

(Streetfsn, Stylish Wanderer, Berg&Berg)
My mom can't stop talking about what happened on Oprah's Favorite Things, and my senioritis is so bad that I can't even come up with legitimate blog titles anymore, thus the title for this post. (Senioritis is really hitting me hard. Even the classes I enjoy quite a lot I can't get myself to do the work for. It's horrible. Absolutely horrible. But I am just apathetic enough to not do anything about it.)
Over the weekend, I build a mini couch cushion fort with a kid I babysit, and later watched the episode of Community with the epic blanket fort, and my desire to build huge, awesome, amazing forts has been amplified from its normal level of 5 to about a 9.8 (on a scale of 10). Hopefully now that it's Thanksgiving break, I can actually do this.
In other news, this sweater on the Stylish Wanderer is making me jealous like no other. I've been hunting for a "perfect dark red cardigan" for ages. This one looks exactly like the one I've been picturing. I'm also really digging the look of the girl in the top streetstyle photo- that is personal style if I ever saw it. Absolutely perfect.

Film Noir

GQ Style Italy F/W 10 photographed by Matthew Brookes
I just want to admire these.
Let's go back to the times of the 1940's and 50's when guys dressed like this all the time, okay?

Back and Front

(Street Peeper, Jak & Jil)
Two conflicting styles that I'm really digging lately. Of course, I think I always prefer Proenza Schouler just a bit more- that dress is superb.

LF Stores

LF Stores Fall 2010 Lookbook via Studded Hearts
I can't get over this lookbook! I just put up the La Garconne Pre-Fall lookbook in my room, which as I've mentioned before is one of my very favorite lookbooks. The styling in this LF Stores lookbook is almost as fantastic though! As always, my favorites are the first and last looks shown here. I'm digging the boots in all these (especially the first and second-to-last looks), the over-the-knee socks, partial tucks, bear hat, and generally the slouchy and comfy yet girly and put together feel that I'm always a huge fan of. What do you think?

Formal Attire

I need an excuse to buy one of these Modcloth dresses! Like I said before, I'm dying for a good formal party. What I'd give to be wearing one of the top two dresses...! Which are your favorites?

Pulled back

(Jade Bigwood by Francesca Jane, LPH, Street Peeper)
I'm a long-time admirer of the bun, but it wasn't until somewhat recently that I have been able to do it myself. My hair was always too thick to stay in place. But then I discovered these bobby pins that are like little corkscrews - it's like magic!

Special Occasion

(Luella, Marchesa and Numéro Tokyo via French Frosting and Souvenirs)
At this time of year I always get into a party-going mood. I just want to dress up in fancy dresses and fix my hair in some new fancy way. It's times like this - when there aren't any formal parties to go to - that my friends and I decide to get dolled up just to go to Red Robin.
