Class of 1980

On me: Nollie white v-neck shirt, really old American Eagle gray cardigan, DIY purple skirt, my dad's gold university class ring as a necklace
Last week I went over to Avery's house after school and we took some film pictures. They turned out really well! Something went wrong with the scanner, but here's a couple of the photos.
The purple skirt I'm wearing was given to me for a Halloween costume by my friend two years ago. It looked like this originally and was held up by that belt and safety pins because it was a size 12. So I cut it up and hemmed it and put two little darts in the back to make it fit my waist, and voila! What do you think?

New Purchases

I went shopping today! I got these two things above from Forever 21. I've been adding more color to my wardrobe for the warmer weather! I love florals.
And I also considered these, but didn't end up getting them. Because I really like the Miu Miu stuff (I like the kitty patterns more but they only had hearts and birds at F21) and I've been really digging polka dots lately - and you can never go wrong with black and gray.

My friend got this dress which I thought was really cute, very trendy, Miu Miu inspired, of course. It's definitely something I would wear too... because it's black and white. But I don't know how I feel about it as a dress; I always prefer skirts/tops to dresses personally. I'm pretty sure if that blue top above had been in white and black like this one, I would have gotten it.

Kling Summer

I'm absolutely in love with these photos from Antonella Arismendi. I want my summer / my life to be like this. Relaxing in the heat in florals and blues and whites , chilling in a hammock or going out for a little boat adventure. That would be a perfect life for me.
I suddenly have the urge to sew lots of floral dresses. I'm going to try to sew a lot this summer, as much as possible. It's such a good skill to have. My bestfriend Allison and I were talking about that the other day, too. Maybe we'll sew together! (Yes, this is a shoutout to my favorite redhead! Love you!)

It was raining cats and dogs...

One day, back in March, Avery and I went out on her roof during a torrential downpour. She claims it was our worst idea ever, but I think it was one of the best. (I think she was a little upset because I was wearing her clothes, and I got them all wet but had to leave before I could help clean up.)
Anyways, I just realized that I never shared these photos with you guys, so I figured I would. (Because people sometimes get us confused: I am the slightly taller one in dark gray and denim shorts.)

Storia d´amore

I found this video too lovely to just leave on my tumblr. It's long, but it's oh so nice.

Inspiration

Some of my favorites recently... In case I haven't mentioned it enough:
Visit my tumblr for more inspiration!
I post 35-40 inspirational photos (and some quotes/songs) a day there, so there's always plenty for you to browse around in.
What do you think of these? And where do you recommend that I look for more? I'm always interested in new sources of inspiration.

Animation!

Avery and I like to make GIFs sometimes.
I've lost a lot of them though. They're floating around on tumblr somewhere.

Princesses of the "fieldlands"

We had a day off school on Friday, so I went out with Avery and Sarah to a field near my house. There are TONS of photos from this shoot, so there will definitely be at least one more post from it, but here's a sneak peak! We've still got to get some film developed and look through three memory cards of digital photos.
I'd like to point out that the fourth shot (of me falling into the field), took a lot of falls to do. I threw myself onto the ground for this, you guys!

I also want to note the lovely, lovely new ring that Sarah from Jewelry Art Designs sent me. It is absolutely stunning, don't you think? I think I've worn it almost every day since it arrived, either on my finger or on a chain as a necklace. It works beautifully both ways, and I'm the queen of rings-as-necklaces, so I'm loving that! But there is a ton of really pretty earrings, rings, pendants, and more jewelry over at Jewelry Art Designs, that I encourage you to check out.
